It was 2006, I had been on pharmaceutical drugs for three years trying to battle some upper respiratory issues when a dear friend suggested I take a look at Young Living.  Something inside of me said “yes” when that first bottle of Thieves was put into my hand!  Little did I know that  this would be the beginning of my journey to wellness.  A journey that would take me around the world, and would bring me new friends, a sense of purpose and financial freedom.

Just after learning about Young Living, I decided to really study about this way of living, a balanced approach which includes eating good food, exercising, sleeping well, and eliminating toxins from my home and my personal care.  As I tried new products from Young Living, replacing my store-bought items and switching out pharmaceutical options under the care of my doctor, my health slowly began to improve.  Little by little, I started to feel better and look better.   

The better I felt, the more I shared with those around me.  I was reluctant at first to be an intentional builder.  I was only excited about seeing others improve their health, too.  It wasn’t until 2010 when my husband’s work took us to Singapore to live for the next five years that a little idea began to hatch.  

When I arrived in Singapore, I did not know a single soul.  I had left my friends and family almost 9000 miles away.  My husband had work, my daughter had her school to go to everyday, but I did not.  I joined the American Women’s Association.  This was pleasant for the first year, but like a diet of cupcakes, there was no substance, no purpose.   I began to long for something that would really satisfy my need to feel useful.  That was just when I noticed that Young Living was planning to open an office in Singapore.  My AHA moment!  You see, I had been ordering Young Living products from the US for a full year already and I was thrilled at the prospect of being able to have products at my fingertips.  That was when I realized that sharing Young Living and building intentionally could be for me.  Of course, I mentioned this to my husband.  Do you know that he told me that was not a good idea!  That was the spark that launched me.  The challenge to prove him wrong shot me out into the world of building Young Living like a canon.  I was on a mission.  

That mission led me to share, to teach, to meet a new family, my Young Living family, to travel the world and to build self-confidence and a financial foundation that has seen my family through some hard times.

I am eternally grateful to that person that cared to share Young Living with me and I am grateful for the life that I have been able to live because of one man’s mission to bring essential oils to the world.
