Well, actually Groot is the puppy. I'm Groot's human, Brenda, and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I've lived most of my life in West Virginia. I love mountains, outdoors and dogs. My favorite color is October. You'll usually find me in funny shoes and well-worn khakis, throwing back some water, and hanging with family and friends. Somewhere within reach will be some essential oils.

I believe God gave us everything we need and that includes natural solutions for a lot of the human condition. I started the essential oils journey in 2015 and it quickly became my first line of defense for pretty much everything, human and canine. It all started when our daughter, 8 at the time, was under the weather on a holiday weekend (because that's what they do). We couldn't get to the doctor for a few days so I phoned a friend. She was at my door 30 minutes later with oils and free advice and we made it through the long weekend in relative comfort. Fast forward to #2020 and I'm sure you can hear the teenage eye-roll when every issue the now 13 year old has gets a response of, "we'll put some oil on it" or "there's an oil for that". She rolls her eyes and declines but nearly always comes back for the inevitable oiling. Occasionally she skips the eye-rolling part and just asks for oils (#winning).

My desperate to get through the weekend 2015 self would probably eye-roll my current oily self but at this point I just call that growing. I welcome you to join me on this oily journey and outgrow your current self.
